AMD and Xilinx released a statement this week regarding the regulatory clearance status of AMD’s proposed acquisition of Xilinx.

“We continue to seek the necessary regulatory approvals to close our deal. While we previously expected to receive all permits by the end of 2021, we have not yet completed the process and now expect the deal to close in the first quarter of 2022. Our negotiations with regulatory authorities continue to develop fruitfully, and we look forward to receiving all the necessary permits, ”the statement said.
There are no additional changes to the previously announced terms or plans of the deal.
Recall that the deal became known at the end of October 2020, and in April 2021 it was approved by the shareholders of two companies.
