In a couple of years, AMD server processors can require up to 600W of power. The source says that this will be the maximum cTDP (configurable TDP) value for the Epyc CPU of the Turin generation.

Turin processors will be based on the Zen 5 architecture and will probably be released in late 2023 or early 2024. Before them there should be another Milan-X, which will be shown on November 8, as well as Genoa processors based on the Zen 4 architecture, which are expected in a year. Genoa and Turin will be SP5.

As for the reasons for such high power consumption, they are revealed by another source, saying that Genoa will be available in a configuration with 192 and 256 cores. For comparison, current Epyc models have up to 64 cores, which means AMD will quadruple the number of cores in two generations! It is also worth noting that the current Epyc CPUs have a TDP of 280W.

Both sources are already well verified. They constantly share information about AMD processors and graphics cards and more.
