Amendment series in American Congress for Turkey’s behavior in the Eastern Mediterranean

At the heart of the American Congress was found Turkey’s behavior in the Eastern Mediterranean through a series of amendments tabled in the US defense budget (NDAA). Proposals, which are considering Turkish policy in the light of US security interests, raise the microscope critical issues that affect the stability of the region. Among other things, the amendments foresee: Democratic MPs are behind the initiatives, Dan Goldman of New York and Josh Gotheimer of New Jersey. The Greek -American Greek community played an active role in promoting amendments, as the process began with the support of the US Hellenic Institute (AHI) and the Hellenic American Leadership Council (HALC).
