“America is coming,” shouted Billy Joe Armstrong Green Day during his concert, adding that he “renounces his citizenship” after the decision of the Supreme Court in the USA, which prohibits abortions in the country. With 6-3 votes of the conservative majority Supreme Court upholds Republican-backed Mississippi law prohibits abortion after the 15th week of pregnancy.
The 50-year-old Armstrong said the above during a concert last Friday night in London, telling the audience: “There are a lot of stupid cats in the world.”
He also told fans of the band that he would move to Britain, with people applauding.
Armstrong’s comments came after a decision was made to ban women from having an abortion after 50 years in the United States, following a ruling by the Supreme Court.
“America is coming. I renounce my citizenship. “I’m coming here,” said Armstrong. “There are many idiots in the world to go back to this miserable, excuse for a country.”
“I’m not kidding, you will hear a lot from me in the coming days,” he continued.
