The American actor Frederick Forrest has died aged 87.
The most important moment of his career was when He was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor. This happened for his participation in the movie The Rose with Bette Midler and Alan Bates.
The American actor became known for his roles in famous films of the 70s, such as: Apocalypse Now!, The Conversation and The Missouri Runaways.
The news was announced by Bette Midler in a post on Twitter:
The great and beloved Frederic Forrest has died. Thank you to all of his fans and friends for all their support these last few months. He was a remarkable actor, and a brilliant human being, and I was lucky to have him in my life. He was at peace.”

His last role was in the movie All the king’s men in 2006.
Despite his strong start, his later career in the film industry was not up to par. He never got a leading role and remained in secondary, like that of the neo-Nazi in Special day by Joel Schumacher.
Forrest was born in December 1936 in Texas. He had a childhood dream of becoming an actor, but his nervousness didn’t help him pass any auditions. He then attended Texas Christian University, thus receiving a minor in acting. He then specialized in radio and television studies.
On television he had appeared in several episodes 21 Jump Street (1987), and in the miniseries Lonesome Dove (1989), I Know My First Name Is Steven (1989), and Andersonville(1996).
