Bruna Marquezine’s participation in the movie Besouro Azul, from DC Comics, put the Brazilian in evidence internationally. The feature appears at the top of the box office in Brazil and fans of the actress from Duque de Caxias (RJ) dream of new roles in Hollywood for her, which gained strength after she was quoted by an American critic.
The independent professional Zoë Rose Bryant used the X (former Twitter) to ask that Bruna not only star in the new film of the “Lara Croft Tomb Raider” franchise, starred in the 2000s by the actress angelina jolie as well as asking the artist to participate in more than one million films “as soon as possible”.
“After seeing Besouro Azul, I kind of need Bruna Marquezine in a million more movies ASAP. They’re doing another ‘Tomb Raider’ reboot, and all I thought about during the third act [do filme] it was ‘this is literally Lara Croft,’” tweeted Zoë.

After the tweet, hundreds of fans of the Brazilian invaded the critics’ social networks to give strength to the movement.
“Our brains are connected, because I had the same thought”, “I need a Brazilian Lara Croft right now” and “Brazilian superheroine now” were some of the messages posted.
There are those who went further and asked Marquezine to take on the role of Ellie, played by Bella Ramsey, in “The Last of Us”, which will win a second season on HBO.

The last film in the “Tomb Raider” franchise was released in 2018 with Swedish actress Alicia Vikander, Oscar winner in 2016 with “The Danish Girl”, in the role of Lara Croft.
Currently 28 years old, Marquezine played the character Jenny Kord alongside actor Xolo Maridueña, who gives life to student Jaime Reyes who in the film becomes the blue beetle. The two form a romantic couple in the plot. The film was also marked by the fact that it starred two Latin American artists.

The Blue Beetle is DC Comics’ first Latino superhero. Under the direction of the Puerto Rican Angel Manuel Soto the film has scenes in both English and Spanish, with much of the main cast being of Latino origin.
