American loses more than 160 kg and makes crowdfunding for skin removal surgery

Cole Prochaska, a 38-year-old American, shares his lifestyle change with his followers. A resident of the city of Saint Matthews, in South Carolina, in the United States, he weighed 265 kg and managed to lose 163 kg.

However, now the boy fights against the excess skin that remained on his body after losing weight. The reason for the change, according to Cole, in an interview with “Today USA”, was the end of a seven-year relationship.

“I knew she had lost respect for me because I was just a really big person and I wasn’t doing anything, I wasn’t going anywhere in life. I was trying to save the relationship. I did not save, but I saved myself, ”she said.

Cole has an active online crowdfunding campaign to raise money for at least three surgeries to remove the remaining skin.

“I weighed the equivalent of three men, and now I’m one person. It’s really hard to share a shirtless photo, but I’ve made it this far. I know it’s hard for some of you to look. People didn’t believe in me, but I believed in myself”, said Cole in the text explaining his reasons for raising the money.

“I’ve never used steroids or had surgery. This is my determination to get my life back and live like others. You can do anything you set your mind to. I hope my story can be an inspiration to others trapped in this same type of situation,” she said.

He started with walks along the beach before starting training at a gym. In the beginning, he trained with his body weight and little by little, he started using the devices, according to the newspaper.

“My goal weight has been reached, but my life is not complete and it won’t be until I can get rid of this excess skin. I have to tuck the extra skin into my pants and still wear baggy clothes to hide the flab. I’ve been heavy since I was 6, and at 38 I’ve never walked on the beach shirtless and I’ve always avoided pool parties. I am still trapped due to the extra skin.”

The surgeries will cost around US$ 100,000, around R$ 480,000 at the current dollar exchange rate.

By the time of publication, it has already raised a little more than R$ 228 thousand reais.
