American official met with Danish Foreign Minister for the Spying Report in Greenland

Denmark Foreign Minister Lars Loke Rasmussen had a meeting on Thursday with a senior US Embassy official to discuss the Wall Street Journal article, which says the US is allegedly seeking to enhance spy activity in Greenland. “We are close allies to the US and therefore we find it unacceptable when one begins to spy on the other,” Rasmusen said on Danish state television. He emphasized that the Foreign Ministry wanted to make it clear to the American side that Danish’s internal affairs concern the kingdom exclusively. Rasmusen said, after the meeting was completed, he gave the impression that the US Embassy’s Jennifer Hall Gondfri was seriously taken into account.
