The American PNC Bank, in collaboration with Coinbase, plans to offer cryptocurrency investment services to clients.
On Tuesday, Coinbase said it has partnered with PNC Financial Services Group, which operates the fifth largest bank in the United States, PNC Bank.
“In recent months, we have partnered with industry leaders including Elon Musk, PNC Bank, SpaceX, Tesla, Third Point LLC and WisdomTree Investments,” the letter to shareholders said.
In turn, PNC, without disclosing the details and specific partners of the project, prepared a strategic investment overview for the bank’s clients. It reveals the concepts and essence of cryptoassets, as well as the bank’s strategy for moving in this direction.
“In defining our position, we still view bitcoin and other cryptocurrency systems as speculative investments that are not suitable for all investors,” says PNC’s review.
“Despite our views on cryptocurrencies as a highly speculative investment, we believe that the world of digital assets has reached a critical mass that gives us confidence that this is more than just a passing fad. We want to equip investors with the knowledge of the cryptocurrency landscape and provide tools to evaluate the many options for investing in cryptoassets. ”
PNC Financial Services Group is an American financial corporation. PNC operates in nineteen US states and the District of Columbia, has 2,460 branches, 9,000 ATMs, services companies and government agencies, and manages the assets of various businesses.
Cooperation with Coinbase will provide the bank’s clients with more efficient access to investments in cryptocurrencies.
