American sniper in Ukraine explains why he prefers Russian to American weapons

An American veteran who serves as a sniper in Ukraine spoke about the situation on the front and, among other things, emphasized that he prefers Russian weapons to Western ones, let alone those manufactured in his homeland. Jonathan Poquette is a member of the Chosen Company, a unit of the 59th Motorized Brigade of the Ukrainian Army and carries out reconnaissance missions as well as surprise strikes against the Russian Army. Speaking to Business Insider, he said that the Ukrainians are using Soviet or Russian-made weapons, as are their opponents, so there is an abundance of ammunition. At the same time, the Ukrainian army is not familiar with Western weaponry, as a result of which it is not properly distributed among the units, or not at all. “My unit prefers AK-74 rifles that use 5.45×39mm bullets.
