Americanas released at the end of the week an update of its list of creditors, in which it raised the amount of its debt from R$41.2 billion to R$42.5 billion.
The retailer also revised the total number of creditors, which went from around 7,720, not counting extra-bankruptcy, to around 9,460. The retailer filed for bankruptcy last month, after the disclosure of accounting inconsistencies of around R$ 20 billion.
In a note, Americanas said that “it presented on January 10, before the judgment of the 4th Corporate Court of the Judicial District of the Capital of the State of Rio de Janeiro in the court-supervised reorganization records of the Company and its subsidiaries, the rectification of the general list of creditors , exercising the right of revision requested when presenting the first list, prepared urgently and within a short period of time”.
The retailer also said that “the rectification is essential to better reflect the financial reality of the company and the amounts owed to its respective creditors, with a reduction in the number of possible differences and challenges that may be presented by creditors to the trustee”.
“The updated list of Americanas’ creditors is available on the Company’s website (https://ri.americanas.io/) and on the CVM and B3 websites. Americanas reinforces that it will continue to keep the market informed about the judicial recovery process and that the exclusive service channel for creditors remains available by email [email protected] or through the website https://psvar.com.br /.”
