Amnesty International calls for investigation into “war crimes” in Lebanon after Israeli attacks

Amnesty International is calling today to launch a “war crimes” investigation after the “extensive” catastrophes caused by Israeli military operations in southern Lebanon. “The extensive and deliberate destruction of political properties and agricultural land by the Israeli army in southern Lebanon should be the subject of investigation into war crimes,” the NGO said in a statement. A ceasefire announced on November 27, 2024, ended the hostilities that lasted for more than a year, including two months of open war, between Israel and Hezbolla, during which the Israeli army developed land units.
