Nvidia today officially unveiled the newest and also the most affordable Ampere graphics card – the GeForce RTX 3060. The novelty replaced the GeForce GTX 1060 and GeForce RTX 2060: the company understands that the GTX 1060, despite its age, is still quite popular in gaming environment.
At the same time, the graph above clearly demonstrates that the performance of the GTX 1060 no longer stands up to criticism if you want to play modern games with normal graphics settings. The GeForce RTX 3060 is also not a performance record holder, but DLSS activation allows you to keep the level of 60 FPS or slightly higher for many popular games, including Cyberpunk 2077.
The GeForce RTX 3060 is built on the GA106 GPU and delivers 13 TFLOPS in single precision operations and up to 35 TFLOPS in real-time ray tracing. The video card received 12 GB of GDDR6 memory, which is even 2 GB more than the GeForce RTX 3080. The memory bus width is 192 bits.
The novelty will go on sale at the end of February at a price of $ 330. Judging by the picture published by Nvidia, the company’s partners are already preparing a lot of different versions of the RTX 3060: both more compact with two fans and large ones with three “propellers”.
