The tiny Wuling HongGuang Mini EV topped the list of the best-selling electric vehicles in China in May, according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).
Back in April, as we already reported, he entered the top three and was ahead of the Toyota Corolla. And last month it became the best-selling electric car in the country, with a huge lead over the competition. Sales of Wuling HongGuang Mini EV totaled 29,706 vehicles, with Tesla Model Y and Tesla Model 3 coming in second and third with 12,728 and 9208 units, respectively.
Looking at sales in the first five months, the Wuling HongGuang Mini EV has already sold 128,796 vehicles, followed by Tesla Model 3 with 68,330 vehicles, and Tesla Model Y with 34,557 vehicles in third.
As it became known, in about a year, sales of Wuling HongGuang Mini EV exceeded 260,000 cars. The Wuling Hong Guang MINI EV is expected to become the best-selling electric vehicle in China this year, with total sales exceeding 400,000 units.
