As the retired teacher explained, he has been collecting Nativity Scenes since the 1950s and they come from more than 100 different countries. He also explained that it took about six weeks to set up all the items in the collection at the bank.

Michael Zachs is trying to gain certification from the Guinness World Records organization that his collection is the largest in the world.
The two records
The record for the largest collection of Nativity Scenes has been held since March 2009 by Andrea Andrighetti. The total 1,802 Nativity scenes he collected are kept in the Museum of Dreams and Memories in Feltre, Italy.
She will also attempt to conquer the record of the largest exhibition with Nativity Scenes, in total 2,150 hosted at Oasis Church in Pembroke Pines, Florida, USA in December 2010.
