Despite the pandemic, many of the events and awards ceremonies that, as usual, mark the year have not been skipped. A little because they took place in the early days of 2020, when there was still no trace of masks, social distancing and lockdowns, and a little because they were held in the absence of the public or in virtual mode.
Needless to say, the red carpets, as always, have been showcases of dream dresses, sparkling make-up and, last but not least, spectacular hair looks. Given the imminent arrival of Christmas we tried to “retrace” the most famous red carpets of this year by identifying the most beautiful hairstyles for long hair from which to take inspiration for a perfect Christmas look.
Like, for example, the high ponytail, embellished with soft and soft waves, flaunted by Jennifer Lopez ai People’s Choice Awards. A perfect «Xmas Barbie» hair look as her loyal Chris Appleton called it.
Also on the theme of tails, unforgettable the high version, ultra smooth, with tips upwards seen on Ariana Grande – a true ponytail addicted – to the 2020 Grammys or the XXL version of Paris Hilton on the red carpet of the AMAs.
Lovers of buns, on the other hand, can indulge themselves with the many proposals seen here and there. From the one with tendrils sported at the 2020 Bafta’s Pixie Lott to the romantic and refined version of Beatrice Valli shown in Venice 77 through the slicked effect of Scarlett Johansson always on the red carpet of the Bafta.
Not only of harvests, however, have lived the red carpet. The sinuous waves, with a retro look of Cara delevingne to the AMAs or those of Paola Turani released at the Lido or, again, the semi-harvest almost disguised of Laura Dern at the Oscars they are the ideal alternative for those who want a more traditional and practical look.
