The news that a distinguished oncologist from New York shot her baby and then killed herself. 40-year-old Dr. Crystal Casketa was a hematology-oncology specialist at Mount Sinai Hospital and there was no indication that she would make it this far.
The Police are talking about a murder-suicide
“The preliminary investigation revealed that she went into her baby’s room, shot him and then turned the gun on herself.”, state police said in a statement. “The scene is consistent with a murder-suicide.”
The incident happened at her Somers home, a $1 million home she shared with her husband, Tim Talty, 37, according to Daily Mail.
Their baby was about 5 months old.
