An option to buy and sell a car has appeared on the State Services: the procedure can be carried out online

Today, July 12, employees of the Ministry of Digital Development, Telecommunications and Mass Media of Russia, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, officially launched an electronic service for the sale and purchase of cars within the framework of the State Services portal. Accordingly, now an agreement on the purchase or sale of a vehicle can be concluded online without the need to travel to special registration organizations. And, most importantly in this event, the contract concluded online through the “Gosuslugi” will have exactly the same legal force as the analogue, only signed on paper, – this was reported by the CNews news outlet, citing its sources.

The authors of the new function believe that buying and selling a car online will significantly save the time and effort of the country’s citizens. The fact is that all the data of each of the parties to the transaction is already pre-filled by the service itself, so there is simply no chance of making a mistake when entering the relevant information. In addition, the user does not need to search the Internet and download a template for the sale and purchase procedure – a standard document is already built into the portal database. So now it will be possible to execute a transaction to purchase a vehicle without a face-to-face meeting between the seller and the buyer – in certain scenarios, this is extremely convenient and profitable.

It is also worth noting that although the process of filling in the data and signing the contract itself takes no more than ten minutes, the developers of the function took care of the safety of both parties. For example, in the process of conducting a transaction, the state service will independently and in a fully automatic format check all the restrictions imposed on the car – whether it is wanted, whether it is the subject of a pledge, and so on. If there are any problems with the car, the buyer will immediately notice this and be able to refuse the transaction. For the sake of this, in fact, the process of processing a transaction begins precisely with filling in the data by the seller.

When entering data, the seller can offer the buyer only the car that is owned by him – it is impossible to sell a vehicle that does not belong to a person. And immediately after choosing a car, the system will conduct a full check, notifying the user of a positive or negative result. After that, the seller and the buyer “sign” the contract using the application “Goskey” and within 10 days after the transaction, the buyer is obliged to register the vehicle.
