An order to strengthen the ground defense forces of Kazakhstan was given by its president

Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Monday 25/11 ordered the defense minister to deploy the country’s ground defense forces, which is located in central Asia and borders Russia, a few days before the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to a statement from his office, “the president, head of the armed forces of Kazakhstan, assigned the minister the task of developing ground defense and special forces” of the former Soviet republic that shares a border of about 7,500 kilometers with Russia. Kazakhstan is a close ally of Moscow, mainly in the context of a military alliance, the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO/OTSC).
