In the last month of winter, viewers will be mainly pleased with the latest from Netflix and Apple TV +, including the spin-off “Vikings”, the unusual mixture of detective and reality show “In Murder City”, and fiction about the separation of memories of work and life “Separation” . Also on streaming platforms will be released a biographical series about the relationship of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee, a new adaptation of Jack Reacher, an interesting domestic series from IVI and many other projects.
“Pam and Tommy” (Pam & Tommy)
- Platform: Hulu.
- Release date: February 2.
Pam & Tommy is an eight-episode biographical drama that tells the incredible story of model/actress Pamela Anderson’s relationship with Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee. They met in 1995 quite by accident, but after four days they went to the altar. No one believed in the sincerity of their relationship, but not even this fact eventually went down in history. The fact is that an intimate video of a couple from their honeymoon fell into the hands of journalists and was made public. The series stars Lily James, Sebastian Stan, Seth Rogen and Nick Offerman. Directed by Craig Gillespie (Cruella). Interestingly, Evan Goldberg, Seth Rogen and James Franco are responsible for the project. The trio are known for their crazy comedies (Pineapple Express: Sitting Smoking, End of the World 2013: Hollywood Apocalypse), so it’s hard to say how realistic or crazy the series will be.
“Hello again!”
- Platform: IV.

The original project of the Russian online cinema IVI. The creators call the series a life-affirming comedy about the fantastic adventures of a former bandit named Boris. Previously, he was engaged in torture, blackmail, extortion, and maybe even murder. But one day he got tired of “solving” the issues of criminal elements. He decided to quit, and open a confectionery with the accumulated funds. Everything would be fine, but only Boris is killed on the same day he shared his thoughts with the boss. In the morgue, medical student Artyom is preparing to carry out the necessary procedures with the body, but suddenly Boris comes to life. Now the two of them will have to find out who is really behind the murder, where the money went, and how the man is resurrected. The main roles in the series were played by Andrey Merzlikin, Denis Vlasenko, Aglaya Tarasova, and Alexei Serebryakov.
“In Murder City” (Murderville)
- Platform: Netflix.
- Release date: February 3rd.
“In Murder City” is an American adaptation of the British “Murder in Successville”. A key feature of the project is a kind of mixture of series and reality shows. Eccentric detective Terry Seattle investigates a new murder every episode. In the role of his partners, guest stars participate, who have to improvise right on the set, since they do not know the script. They are offered to find all the clues and clues, and at the end of the series, try to name the killer on their own. It turns out a mixture of a detective series and an improvised comedy. Six episodes – six different guests, including Sharon Stone, Ken Jong, Kumail Nanjiani and others. Terry Seattle is played by Will Arnett, who also serves as a producer on the series. Given the good ratings of the original series, we can expect that at least the first season of “In Murder City” will be able to show something worthy.
“Jack Reacher” (Jack Reacher)
- Platform: Amazon Prime Video.
- Release date: February 4th.
In 2012, the film “Jack Reacher” was released, which was an adaptation of Lee Child’s ninth novel about a former military police major. Then the studio was counting on good results, given that Tom Cruise, who was at that time at the peak of popularity, managed to sign the main role. However, this was precisely the key mistake, because the actor, according to external and physical data, was radically different from the book prototype. As a result, the film was met rather coolly, and the second part completely failed. In the series from Amazon, Reacher will be played by Alan Ritchson, not such a famous and venerable actor, but in incredible physical shape. And many fans have already appreciated his resemblance to the hero of the trailer books. The plot will be taken from the very first Reacher novel, Death Floor. The main character is suspected of murdering a corruption fighter, but he drops the charges and goes in search of the real criminal, investigating a variety of dangerous cases along the way.

However, the police have no leads in this case. Who and why brought charges against these five, and also where to look for real criminals if these people turn out to be innocent? The main roles in the series were played by Uma Thurman, Noah Emmerich, Elizabeth Henstridge and others.
“Inventing Anna” (Inventing Anna)
- Platform: Netflix.

In America, the girl introduced herself as Anna Delvey, a wealthy German heiress. She began to get acquainted with representatives of high society and engage in fraud. She lived in luxurious hotels, ate in expensive restaurants and so on, and her new friends paid for everything, and often without even knowing it themselves.
