Today, February 10, Beeline employees officially announced the creation of an advanced solution based on artificial intelligence, which provides the ability to search and identify garbage in the yards of residential buildings through video surveillance cameras in real time. Moreover, the latest development even knows how to send notifications to Telegram if garbage is actually found – this was reported by the Gazeta.Ru news outlet with reference to the company’s press service. And, as it turned out, no one plans to delay the release of this technology – pilot tests of the system have already been carried out in the Moscow and Leningrad regions.
“Our portfolio includes products for monitoring the roadway, finding illegal dumps, determining the number of “hares” in public transport, and so on. Our system can help to effectively and quickly detect pollution in the local area, allowing you to eliminate them in a short time, thereby improving the lives of citizens. Municipal services will be able to reduce the time for processing complaints, and operator companies will be able to reduce the number of fines for late garbage collection,” said Konstantin Romanov, director of artificial intelligence and digital products at Beeline.
Also, Mr. Romanov said that the new development of Beeline is a “box”, so that the system can be deployed at any customer whose video cameras meet certain technical requirements of advanced development. Moreover, the presented system based on artificial intelligence is quite easily integrated into any infrastructure and can even be modified to meet the specific needs of the end client. And, which is quite expected, the system easily scales to the required number of cameras, analyzing information from a variety of sources, which is useful for large facilities or areas.
Beeline employees emphasized that the system can specify the frequency of shooting from CCTV cameras, in order, probably, to save space on drives. At the same time, the technology based on artificial intelligence will automatically analyze the level of filling of garbage containers, determine the presence of garbage in the courtyard of the residential complex, assigning it the appropriate status. After the technology has run the analysis system, it can send a message to the operator company, which is responsible for cleaning or garbage disposal in the area. And, of course, the human operator can always check the frame on the basis of which the neural network made its conclusion in order to verify the accuracy of the data.
