Ana Hickmann promoted a live about violence against women on Friday night (15), on his Instagram profile. During the chat, the presenter couldn't hold back her emotion and cried when talking about the suffering experienced by women who face situations of violence.
At the online event, Ana Hickmann invited the judge Kenarik Boujikian and the coordinator of the Casa de Mulher Brasileira, Ana Cristina de Souza , to discuss the matter. At the end of the conversation, the presenter became emotional when talking about the importance of reporting violence.
“The word shame is something we all feel, when we go through violence and encounter it. Emotional violence is the first one that we don't want to believe is happening. We discover property violence later on in a very brutal way. Procedural violence is along the way for us to have our rights preserved. Emotional violence is also part of it, but when physical violence happens, I think this is the moment when we have to say enough is enough,” she said.
“We cannot remain silent at any time”, reinforces Ana Hickmann. “In a fight between a man and a woman, you get involved and in a fight between your neighbor and your neighbor, if you say yes, you ask for help”, she adds.
The live was shared in full on his Instagram profile and can be seen below:
Remember Ana Hickmann's complaint against Alexandre Correa
In November 2023, Ana Hickmann accused her ex-husband Alexandre Correa of having physically attacked her in the house where they lived, in Itu, in the interior of São Paulo. At the time, the presenter registered a police report at a police station in the city.
To the police, she reported that she was talking to her 10-year-old son in the kitchen when Alexandre overheard, didn't like the content of the conversation and started an argument with the presenter. According to the police report, Alexandre pushed his wife against the wall and threatened to headbutt her – an accusation he denied on social media.
Furthermore, the presenter also accused Correa of the disappearance of R$25 million from her companies. In December, the businessman's defense requested the closure of the investigation, which began on November 29, 2023. In January of this year, Correa asked that the presenter be prohibited from talking about the allegation of domestic violence on her social networks, but the request was denied by the São Paulo Court.
