Analena Berbok leaves the German Parliament for the UN General Assembly presidency

Analena Berbok, a former German foreign minister and a Greens official, is going to leave the German Parliament on July 1, as he is almost certain to take the position of President of the UN General Assembly on September 9th. According to the N-TV private news station, Berbock’s new position is mainly a ceremonial in nature and the remuneration accompanied by it is € 13,000 a month, with the exception of any additional benefits. As explained by the German Foreign Ministry, it is customary to be covered by the country’s country of origin.
