According to the study, the Asia-Pacific region will be able to earn the most on the metaverse and related projects – $ 1.04 trillion, which will give the region an plus 2.3% of GDP. In second place is the United States with $560 billion and 2.3% of GDP. In third place is Europe with $440 billion and 1.7% of GDP. The largest GDP growth will be experienced by the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey: 6.2% and $360 billion in monetary terms.
According to the report, metaverses and related activities could account for 5% of Latin America’s GDP, bringing in $320 billion to the region’s economy. Latin America’s growth will be the largest in percentage terms, while Asia Pacific will be the largest in volume .
In April, Citibank released a report stating the huge potential of the concept of augmented reality and predicting that the market capitalization of the metaverse will reach $13 trillion by 2030.
