The group of the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) that monitors the cleaning of tracks for the 5G operation released this Wednesday (14) the activation of the signal in seven more capitals from next Monday (19).
Operators will be able to start offering the technology in Aracaju (SE), Boa Vista (RR), Campo Grande (MS), Cuiabá (MT), Maceió (AL), São Luís (MA) and Teresina (PI).
According to Anatel, until November 28, when the obligation provided for in the public notice expires, the companies Claro, Tim and Vivo must have at least eight 5G stations activated in Aracaju, five in Boa Vista, 11 in Campo Grande, eight in Cuiabá, 13 in Maceió, 14 in São Luís, and 11 in Teresina.
Fifteen capitals already have the signal in operation: Florianópolis, Palmas, Rio de Janeiro, Vitória, Brasília, Curitiba, São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Salvador, Goiânia, Porto Alegre, João Pessoa, Fortaleza, Natal and Recife.
In August, Anatel’s board of directors approved another 60 days for the technology to start rolling out in 15 Brazilian capitals.
Now, they need to be released by October 28 for 5G activation.
Operators will then have another 30 days, being able to turn on the signal until November 27.
Aracaju, Boa Vista, Campo Grande, Cuiabá, Maceió, São Luís and Teresina were in the capital package that would have this extra term, but now they will be able to have the operational signal as of next Monday.
