For those who are bothered by daily telemarketing calls, a new regulation from Anatel is seeking to change that scenario.
A new rule, which will take effect from 2022, will require telemarketers to add 0303 to their phone number so that the caller is visible to the consumer on the call display.
With the clearer identification that it is a telemarketing call, it is up to the recipient to decide whether to answer or not.
Consumers also have the option of asking operators to preemptively block telemarketing calls. In other words, the consumer will no longer receive this type of call.
The deadline for implementing these rules is up to 90 days for mobile service providers, and up to 180 days for fixed service providers.
