Anatoly Aksakov, the head of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market, estimated the scope of calculations with foreign partners in cryptocurrencies of 1 trillion rubles since the beginning of the year.
Aksakov cited the relevant data in an interview with TASS agency before the start of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (PMEF). At the same time, he once again emphasized that at the moment the government’s position remains the same – cryptocurrencies can help in trade with other countries, but within Russia such calculations should be prohibited.
Earlier, the deputy director of the Department of Financial Policy of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation Osman Kabaloev called crypto regulation in the Russian Federation one of the most liberal in the world.
