“Anatomy of a Fall”, winner of Cannes, continues in the awards marathon

The French film “Anatomy of a Fall” received six nominations at the Lumière Award, considered one of the main awards in European cinema. The nominations show that the film, which won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, remains one of the critics’ favorites.

“Anatomy of a Fall” received nominations for: Best Film, Best Director for Justine Triet, Best Screenplay, Best Actress, Most Promising Actor and Best Cinematography. The Lumière Prize takes place on January 22, 2024.

The film focuses on the German writer Sandra, played Sandra Hüller, who is on trial for the murder of her husband, Samuel, who was found dead. The thriller follows the trial that stops being an investigation into Samuel’s death and delves deeper into the couple’s relationship.

The film was released in August 2023 and was included in the list at the São Paulo International Film Festival. Now, it will arrive on the commercial circuit and in Brazilian cinemas on February 22, 2024.
