And Just Like That 2, the trailer arrives: Carrie sees Aidan again

And Just Like That… he’s about to come back. Season two of the spin-off Sex and the City is expected for June 23 on Sky and NOW, but now you can get a taste of it, thanks to the first trailer. And, if that weren’t enough, the channel has a special appointment in mind starting from the 18th, or rather two.

Early evening arrives And Just Like That…The Documentary, which reveals the behind the scenes of a story that has written crucial pages of the TV series (in pink). On the same day (and until the 23rd) it lights up Sky Series Marathons – Sex and the City to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the arrival on TV of Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and her friends, who – let’s remember – have also created two films.

Peering into these first images, the theme – to use the words of the protagonist – is change: “What you were before is tight for you”. For Carrie it also means asking existential questions like: “Did you know that the oven is not only used as a pantry?”.

Speaking of serious things – as well as boiled eggs – the public finally has an unequivocal answer: yes, Aidan (John Corbett de My fat, thick, Greek wedding) will be there and maybe it will be Carrie who wants to take this plunge into the past ten years later.

Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) in the episodes of the first season had fallen for Che (Sara Ramirez), Carrie’s podcast colleague, and decides to follow her to the other side of the United States but coexistence is not easy. Meanwhile, Charlotte (Kristin Davis) wants to experience the thrill of freedom and, with two teenage daughters, she has earned it. Well, according to the trailer, there will be quite a few sentimental blizzards, many designer stiletto heels and many head shots typical of middle age.

At one point Carrie is all proud of having survived the first year of widowhood almost unscathed after the death of Mr. Big (Chris Noth)but the unexpected is always around the corner and – as you well know – being single in Manhattan is really a treacherous state.

As was to be imagined, these first scenes do not contemplate one of the moments most awaited by the fans, the return of Samantha (Kim Cattrall), a character exiled to London with little believable excuses to mask the alleged hatred among the main cast. However, it seems that the actress has found a compromise (certainly with lavish checks) to appear as a guest star in the season finale.

The quartet of friends, the heart and strength of Sex and the City, perhaps it will bring back to the screen that magic that the sequel has seen fade with disappointing gimmicks and inconsistent course changes. Let the fun officially begin.
