The Lebanese Islamist group Hezbollah said today it fired missiles at an Israeli naval base near Haifa in northern Israel, the second such attack in less than 24 hours. It is “a response to the attacks and massacres committed by the Israeli enemy” in Lebanon, Hezbollah said in a statement, clarifying that the Stella Maris naval base, northwest of Haifa, was targeted. The pro-Iranian group said yesterday that it attacked the same naval base with rockets, but for the same reasons. In a separate statement, Hezbollah also said it had today targeted the Ramat David airbase, located about 45 kilometers from the Israel-Lebanon border, with missiles. Hezbollah has been firing missiles at Israel since October 8, 2023, one day after the start of the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Source: RES
