The British company Diageo, one of the largest alcohol companies in the world, has decided to leave Russia, a company spokesman told Interfax.
“We expect this process to take about six months, during which time we will continue to support our partners by providing, among other things, an expanded compensation package, in full compliance with Russian law,” a company spokesman said.
In early March, Diageo suspended the unloading of its products in Russia, attributing its decision to the “situation in the global supply chain”.
Diageo was founded in 1997. Its well-known products are White Horse whiskey, Smirnoff vodka, Guinness beer and a number of other products.
