The singer's granddaughter was born this Tuesday (4). Anderson Leonardo (1972-2024) vocalist of Squishy , who died a little over a month ago due to inguinal cancer. The musician's daughter posted a photo of the little girl Maria Alice and talked about how happy the father would be with his granddaughter's arrival.
“Your grandfather was already drooling inside your belly, imagine if he had time to hold you on his lap, I keep imagining his smile and his happiness in seeing you”, wrote Alessa Cristyne, who added: “But God knows all things and I know he is close to us. Maria Alice, today I was reborn from you.”
The baby was born around 9 am, weighing 2.855 kg and measuring 47 cm. “Daughter, you came to illuminate and color my life, you came to show me how strong I am, thank you for the teachings inside my womb, now you will be in my arms”, said Alessa.
Anderson Leonardo died on April 26 , in Rio de Janeiro, at 51 years old. He was admitted to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) of a private hospital and had been treating inguinal cancer since 2022, a rare type of tumor that affects the entire groin region.
A post on the musician's profile also celebrated the birth: “the long-awaited granddaughter has arrived. Imagine how happy this grandfather would be if he were here, but we know that wherever he is he will be vibrating with joy and wishing the best for his granddaughter who she already loved so much”.
