Andre Cronje, the creator of popular DeFi projects, is leaving the field. This was announced by his friend and colleague, one of the developers of the Fantom Foundation, Anton Nell.
Anton Nell declaredthat such a decision was made by him and Andre Cronje quite consciously. It seems that the “legends of DeFI” are simply tired of this area.
“We do not leave in a panic or because of the feedback on the next project. We have been thinking about this decision for a long time, it was brewing. Thank you all for supporting our projects in recent years,” wrote Nell.
Already on April 3 this year, 25 decentralized applications and services will stop working. Among them are Yearn.Finance, Keep3r and Solidly. Against this background, the YEARN token rate fell by 10%. However, at the time of publication, the entire cryptocurrency market fell, which, of course, is not related to Nell’s statements.
Recall that at the end of February, Cronje launched a new decentralized exchange Solidly. However, the launch was overshadowed by user reports of missing funds. The problem turned out to be in the user interface, which, in case of any problems with communication with the site’s smart contract, could offer an illiquid pool for the user.
