Android has improved voice control, but eliminated wiretapping: how it works

Android has long had a Voice Access service that allows people with disabilities to control their device using their voice. Previously, the work of this option could not be called ideal, at least because it constantly listened to ambient sounds in order to recognize the user’s commands. However, now everything is changing – the Voice Access service only works when the user is looking at the screen of the Android device.

At the moment, the innovation is already available in beta, but it is not yet clear how the system captures the user’s gaze. Most likely, the front camera tracks the head rotation, and the AI algorithms determine the user’s gaze.
