The changes to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) will affect the standard pink sky background image that Google first introduced almost 5 years ago. Instead, there will be new wallpapers that have already been added in Android 12.1. This release will be the first decimal-numbered Android release in many years.

The pink sky wallpaper first appeared in Android 7.0 Nougat, but most users probably haven’t seen it, as almost every Android smartphone comes with a custom skin from the manufacturer. Despite the fact that Android 12.1 is still preparing for release (release is expected on October 4), the new image can already be downloaded below.
