The board of the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) approved this Tuesday (23) an average readjustment of 1.03% in energy tariffs at Energisa Paraíba.
The distributor is responsible for serving 1.5 million consumer units.
For consumers connected to high voltage, such as industries, the average effect of the adjustment will be 3.49%.
For those served at low voltage, which includes residential consumers, the average impact will be 0.34%.
The new values take effect on August 28.
The impact of the adjustment on consumers was mitigated by a series of measures approved by Congress, in partnership with the regulatory agency and the government.
Among them is the use of PIS/Cofins tax credits. The amounts already used, as well as the forecast made by the Federal Revenue, totaled R$ 222.5 million, which reduced the effect by 10.02%.
The transfer to the Energy Development Account (CDE) arising from the privatization of Eletrobras was responsible for the 2.94% tariff reduction.
