In another part of the statement, which was given on Monday (16), Carrillo says that he tried to camouflage the search for pornographic material on the internet with a few acronyms. In addition to looking for videos on the networks, the doctor confessed that he himself produced the recordings of patient abuse. And he talked about how he worked within the health unit. “I would wait for the best time (when I was alone) and enjoy it,” he told the police.
The Colombian doctor is suspected of having committed at least two rapes of women who had been sedated by him during surgeries in public and private hospitals, in 2020 and 2021. He even filmed the abuses, one of which was committed against an elderly woman. The two patients have already been heard and claimed not to remember anything, since they were unconscious.
The anesthetist was arrested last Monday (16) for rape of vulnerable and storing and sharing images of abuse against children and adolescents. Police reported that he accumulated more than 20,000 files containing child and youth pornography images on his electronic devices.
According to the head of anesthetists at the Clementino Fraga Filho University Hospital, Jorge Calasans, the Colombian doctor worked at the unit for three years and is not used to being alone with patients.
“He was supervised 100% of the time. He wasn’t alone with patients. But these people, in furtive moments, like in the other case that we’ve seen and that ends up tainting the specialty, they are specialists in doing this kind of thing. Now the police are investigating and it will be resolved in the best way, ”he said.
In July last year, anesthesiologist Giovanni Quintella Bezerra, 31, was arrested red-handed after being filmed raping a patient during childbirth surgery at the State Hospital for Women Heloneida Studart, in São João do Meriti, in Baixada Fluminense. .

The Regional Council of Medicine of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Cremerj) reported that it is expediting the request for a precautionary ban on the doctor, in order to avoid new risks to society.
After the investigation of the case, an ethical-professional process may be initiated. If found guilty, the anesthesiologist may have the right to practice the profession revoked.
Also according to Cremerj, at the time of the cases, Andres Carrillo did not have a CRM and was acting irregularly, a fact that will also be verified with the health units.
