The German Chancellor arrives in Tirana today before noon Angela Merkel. After Belgrade yesterday, Monday, Tirana is the second stop on her farewell tour of the Western Balkans as Chancellor of Germany.
In the Albanian capital, Mrs. Merkel will have a private meeting with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, followed by a meeting of delegations of the two governments.
In Tirana, the German Chancellor will also meet with the prime ministers of the Western Balkans, Albania, Serbia, Montenegro, northern Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo. This meeting concerns the initiative she took 7 years ago for the Western Balkans.
Merkel’s six-hour visit to Tirana will conclude with a joint press conference with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama.
