Angelina Jolie makes a surprise visit to displaced people in Ukraine and offers her help

Angelina Jolie is not only known for being a great Hollywood actress, but also for being a humanitarian activist and special ambassador for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), which is why she paid a surprise visit to Lviv, the city of western Ukraine.

Her arrival in Ukraine was reported by the regional governor of Lviv through Telegram, who stressed that the actress took the time to talk to several displaced people to learn about their needs and find the best way to support them.

On her tour, Angelina visited a hospital and focused on the pediatric area, greeting and meeting the minors who were injured during the bombing of the Kramatorsk station on April 8.

Angelina spoke with Ukrainian citizens who have fled combat zones and with volunteers who provide medical and psychological assistance. For an instant, her visit brightened the lives of others and provided an escape from her harsh reality.

During her visit, the actress not only learned about the testimonies of the Ukrainians, she also witnessed the terror that they live day by day because the bombing alarms began to sound. Fortunately, she and her team are unharmed and are already working on special measures to help those in need.

The UN estimates that so far, the conflict between Ukraine and Russia has forced more than five million Ukrainians to leave their country, while more than seven million are in a situation of internal displacement, that is, they are inside the country, but not in their original homes.
