Angelina Jolie, highly anticipated at the Venice Film Festival for her intense role as Maria Callas, in the last days of her life, in Pablo Larraín’s new biopic, is also the protagonist of a Tom Ford campaign for the new Runway Lip Color.
The Hollywood actress is Tom Ford Beauty’s first celebrity ambassador for the relaunch of its Runway Lip Color lipstick line. Angelina insisted she’s a big fan of the brand’s Scarlet Rouge shade, which she wears in the new ad.
Winner of an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and a Tony Award, Jolie is among the most successful Hollywood actresses in international cinema and is also one of the most sought-after icons in the world of fashion and beauty.
Her strong and committed personality goes beyond the role of an artist, using her privileged position as a celebrity she has carried out commendable humanitarian work for over 20 years, focusing on refugees and human rights. Additionally, as a fashion entrepreneur, she recently founded Atelier Jolie, an artist hub, encouraging people to participate in the creation of their own fashion, with a focus on sustainability.
The undisputed star of the campaign is the powerful red lipstick with which the actress was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, in a pose that seems like a cinematic tribute to female beauty. The images and video of the campaign, out on September 3, show Jolie studying for a part she has to play: a character who loves the camera almost as much as she does.
The lipstick she is wearing is number 16 Scarlet Rouge, the brand’s best seller.
