A truck collided with a pole and poured green liquid dye in the Botanical Park of the Tulips in Jundiaí, in the interior of São Paulo. The accident occurred last Tuesday (13), around 14h. The vehicle was on Álvaro de Oliveira Marcondes Street, according to the Fire Department.
The product, which is dangerous, left ducks and geese from the park dyed in blue. The local stream also changed color with fluorescent blue.
The truck was parked the moment it lost its brake and began to move involuntarily until it collided with a pole, which caused the spill of the product.
The Mata Rim Association rescued the animals to perform the necessary care. The process of decontamination of the stream is being carried out by the São Paulo State Environmental Company (Cetesb).
On the morning of Wednesday (14) the Civil Defense teams and Cetesb evaluated the spill site. The goal is to set actions for the removal of the product.
The Paulista Strength and Luz Company (CPFL) and the Municipal Infrastructure Secretariat restored energy, road cleaning and the normalization of traffic on site.
