Anitta invites Melody to a pre-carnival show in Salvador

Anitta announced on her social networks this Wednesday (20) that she invited Melody to participate in her pre-carnival show in Salvador, capital of Bahia, on January 6th.

The artist has a schedule of shows in several capitals across the country before Carnival 2024, the “Anitta Rehearsals”.

According to Anitta, the song “Love, Love”, by Melody with Naldo Benny, was playing when she had the idea of inviting the 16-year-old singer.

Previous fights

On social media, fans commented on the invitation: “You attack each other from afar, but in reality you are on WPP laughing at our faces who think you are enemies”, wrote one of them.

Anitta and Melody do not have a history of friendship, on the contrary, the two argued publicly on social media in 2021.

When responding to a comment about her political positions, Anitta quoted the underage singer: “It’s called ‘speak well or speak badly, but talk about me’. Don’t you see Melody? You only talk bad about her, nothing she does is really serious or professional, but she gets great engagement and stays in the market by creating trouble with my name fighting alone.”

Melody didn’t like the statement and posted, through her Instagram stories, a response to the singer.

“Wherever she goes, she talks about me. On television, on Twitter. Afterwards, I’m the one who picks on her. I never say anything bad about her, and she said my work was unprofessional. Who is in the Top 1 Brazil now? She was in the Global Top 1, but where is her music? She fell off the map. That was a lot of money invested there”, countered Melody.

The discussion between the two continued on Twitter. Anitta responded to Melody and, in the end, asked her to “make a falsetto singing Lula’s name to make news.”

Melody responded and, in a series of posts, said that “it was ugly for an almost 40-year-old singer to put a 15-year-old singer in discussions of a political nature” and stated that “she could be as big as Anitta”.
