Anitta on loss of followers after “Aceita”: “I knew it was going to happen”

The singer Anita, 31, recalled the loss of 300 thousand followers after the “Aceita” music video with references to the candomblé . In a recent international interview, the artist revealed that she predicted the religious intolerance when she presented the clip, which shows her celebrating her faith.

To the podcast On Purpose with Jay Shetty, last Monday (13), Anitta spoke about the loss of more than 300 thousand followers: “I already knew this was going to happen because people’s intolerance towards their different beliefs is crazy”.

“People do not accept, in my opinion, that religions are like veins that go to a heart; they’re just in different places, which is beautiful. They arrive at the same place, a better human being to evolve, that’s what religions mean to me, and I believe in them all,” he continued.

Anitta also highlighted that she doesn’t care about the number of people who follow her and prefers to be true to herself. “I believe in following my own path. Whether 10 people or a million choose to follow me, I will be happy. I’m not bothered [com números]”.

The video for “Aceita” shows the singer in various Candomblé celebrations. The song is part of her latest album, “Funk Generation “.

Currently, Anitta is in the United States for the first part of her first international tour. Afterwards, the singer will head to South America and Europe.

In May, just minutes after publishing photos showing her Candomblé routine, Anitta lost 100 thousand followers. “Laroyê Exu removing from my paths everything that no longer serves me. In this new phase of mine, I chose quality over quantity. Axé,” she said at the time.
