Anitta reaches the Top 1 of Spotify Global and “Envolver” is the most listened to in the world

This Friday (25th), anita broke another record: reached the Top 1 Global Spotifywith the hit “Envolver”, a position that has been rising since Tuesday, when it was in fifth place.

The song, released in November 2021, has passed 6.3 million plays. In Brazil, it started the day in first place on the platform.

To reach the mark, she surpassed artists like Glass Animals, Justin Bieber, Imagine Dragons and veteran Elton John.

Four months after its release, the single became a global fever and the choreography went viral on TikTok — “el paso de Anitta” — being reproduced by many celebrities.

On the social network, the challenge that drives the viral dance consists of fans imitating a famous dance move in which she falls to the floor and swings her hips in time to the music.

“Envolver”, which is sung in Spanish, is in the Top 20 of all Latin American countries where Spotify is available.

On the last 20th, Anita confirmed on Twitter that her new album “Girl From Rio”, which wants to take Brazilian culture to the world, is scheduled to be released in April.

The best reach of a Brazilian in the Top 50 of Spotify had been Anitta herself, who had already occupied the 18th position with “Vai Malandra”.
