The Brazilian singer Anitta 31, took home the award for Best Latin Video for “Mil Veces” no Video Music Awards (VMA), one of the biggest international awards in the music industry.
Upon taking the stage, the artist gave a speech in English, in which she thanked her fans and praised the work of the Colombian singer. Karol G who was also competing in the category.
“First I want to thank my fans, who have always supported me (…) I need to recognize that Karol G also had an incredible year,” said Anitta.
Afterwards, the singer thanked the Brazilians, stating that they were responsible for the victory.
“I want to thank my country, which always supports me! You are the reasons I am always here and always come back,” concluded the singer, who performed at the awards ceremony for the third consecutive year.
