Ankara accuses Athens of 953 ‘violations’ in the Aegean islands

In addition, he reiterated Ankara’s propaganda rhetoric that Greece’s military activities on the islands “with a demilitarized regime” constitute a “clear violation” of the provisions of the Lausanne and Paris Peace Treaties.

“Despite Turkey’s well-intentioned and honest approach in the spirit of good neighborly relations and alliance, Greece continues its aggressive rhetoric and illegal actions, leaving all our calls for dialogue unanswered and continuing to baselessly accuse our country,” he said. .

She said that the Turkish side is taking the necessary initiatives through the diplomatic channel against “these violations and visits” and that “activities in the context of reciprocity” are being carried out.

The representative of the Turkish Ministry of Defense also referred to joint exploitation, noting that “our wish is for Turks and Greeks to live in peace, prosperity and security by making fair use of the wealth of the region. The Aegean is a sea of ​​friendship”.

Regarding the Cyprus issue, he reiterated that the only solution for the island is “two sovereign, equal and independent states”.

“As a guarantor country, Turkey will continue to ensure peace, tranquility and security in Cyprus within the framework of international agreements and the legal rights deriving from international law,” he said.
