Anna Magnani: her Roman villa for sale

The great Anna Magnani has lived within these walls for 20 years and now the villa is for sale. Here the actress spent part of her life between the 1950s and 1960s, accompanied by friends such as Alberto Sordi. Considered an icon of 20th-century Romanism, Anna Magnani was the first non-English-speaking actress to win an Oscar in 1956 for the film The tattooed rose, by Daniel Mann, in which he co-stars with Burt Lancaster.
