Another 70 projects 2.4 billion euros in the Recovery Fund

The inclusion of an additional 70 projects with a total budget of 2.4 billion euros in the financing of the Recovery and Resilience Fund was signed today by the Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr. Theodoros Skylakakis, responsible for the implementation of “Greece 2.0”.

After the new accessions, the total budget of the 173 projects that have received approval for implementation, under “Greece 2.0”, is set at 8.5 billion euros since last July, when the activation of the approved projects of the Greek program.

The new TAA projects cover all four pillars of the National Plan. Specifically, 3 projects concern the “Green Transition” and have a budget of 255.81 million euros, 6 projects in the “Digital Transition”, amounting to 349.48 million euros, 24 projects of a budget of 852.79 million euros in “Employment – Skills – Social Cohesion “and 37 projects, amounting to 931.67 million euros, in” Private investments and transformation of the economy “.

The 70 new projects included in the Recovery Fund per pillar:

1. Green Transition

– Interventions aimed at improving the urban environment and public space. The project concerns renovations of significant scope: a) in selected urban areas of Greece, of particular cultural or historical importance and b) within the urban area or in coastal residential areas for the implementation of measures to prevent and adapt to climate change (252,862,745, 10 €)

– Modernization of facilities and equipment of the educational institutions of the Civil Protection and the Fire Brigade – Academy of Civil Protection Α.ΠΟ.Π. (€ 2,833,282.04)

– Urban wastewater treatment and treatment of environmentally sensitive settlements and modernization of facilities in selected cities (€ 111,600)

2. Digital Transition

– Digital transformation of small and medium enterprises. They are supported for the purchase – utilization of digital products and services (180,000,000 €)

– Industrial Data Platforms: Development of innovative services, based on modern technologies, with the aim of supporting small and medium enterprises to utilize CloudOnly infrastructure and services, the development of online software services (cloud Only Software framework) that will be available to small and medium enterprises. a. (€ 100,000,000)

– Cybersecurity strategy and policies in the Public Sector and creation of a National Center for Cyber ​​Security Operations (€ 40,405,796.80)

– Provision of value added services to support the action: “Digital transformation of small and medium enterprises” from its design to its completion (€ 19,990,474)

– Central Document Management System, including the use of 130,000 remote digital signatures (€ 5,589,052)

– Next generation interoperability center to deal with the growing demand for transactions and the high availability required for the operation of its simplified procedures – paperless – public sector (€ 3,496,800)

3. Employment – Skills – Social Cohesion

– Renovations and modernization of hospitals throughout Greece (314,960,000 €)

– Renovation of Primary Health Care infrastructure (PHC) – Development of clinics for the management of chronic diseases (€ 246,829,440)

– Skills upgrading and retraining programs in high demand industries, with emphasis on digital and green skills (€ 102,157,600)

– Adjustment of unemployment benefits – Association of unemployment benefit with previous service (€ 58,600,000)

– Digital Care II – Support program for teachers / students affected by the fire, students and trainees for the purchase of technological equipment through vouchers (€ 40,500,000)

– Adjustment of unemployment benefits – New long-term unemployment benefits (€ 33,800,000)

– Supply of robotics and STEM equipment (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) for training (30,122,049 €)

– Adjustment of unemployment benefits – Enhancement of the long-term unemployment benefit to existing beneficiaries of the benefit (€ 8,000,000)

– Strengthening and upgrading training in basic skills for different social groups and sectors (€ 5,774,700)

– Training programs in basic and digital skills and in skills in cutting edge industries. Development of basic skills as a private security staff by providing certification of the acquired knowledge (€ 5,737,500)

4. Private investment and transformation of the economy

– New investment program “Innovation and green transition to the processing of agricultural products” (€ 181,521,000)

– Emblematic investments of exceptional importance, concerning the green economy, innovation, technology, as well as the economy of low energy and environmental footprint (€ 171,139,129.14)

– Support of Collective Bodies, in order to take initiatives for the restructuring of tree crops (€ 166,720,000)

– Modernization of the primary sector. The project focuses on the production of quality agricultural products, enhancing their competitiveness and facilitating their entry into new markets. (€ 98,111,000)

– Upgrading and Expansion of Information Systems in the field of Justice (€ 70,000,000)

– Development of new industrial parks, expansion of existing ones and organization of informal industrial gatherings (65,271,948.36 €)

– Single Digital Map – Smart environmental and cultural infrastructure (€ 51,028,440)

– Green agro-tourism. The program covers a wide range of private investments, in order to establish and operate hosting companies, which will promote local products, creating a new “green” and sustainable (agro) tourism product (49,006,000 €)

– Proposals for actions in the field of aquaculture, aiming at the modernization of products, the development of climate-friendly processes, the optimization of production, etc. (€ 34,440,000)

– Genetic improvement of animals. Supporting Institutions, in order to improve the characteristics of the productive animals of the country. (€ 14,702,000)

– Firefighting of the Archaeological Site of Mystras (4,200,000 €)

– Firefighting of the Archaeological Site of Philippi (€ 2,908,000)

– Boeotia: Restoration of the southern gate and part of the wall on either side of it in the Mycenaean acropolis of Gla (€ 2,200,000)

– Creation of a shelter for tourist boats in Ammouliani (€ 1,999,999.66)

– Extension of works for the promotion and maintenance of the archaeological site of Zone and Ancient Egnatia Odos (€ 1,663,530)

– Rodopi: Maintenance and restoration of a central church in Maximianoupolis (€ 1,500,000)

– Upgrading of the services provided by the Ministry of Infrastructure & Transport, in the context of the general strategy for simplification of procedures and their digital transformation (€ 1,432,200)

– Restoration of the defensive tower and the fortification enclosure in the monastery complex of the New Monastery of Chios (700,000 €)

– Design of a cultural route with a thematic and historical character, which has as its core the Mycenaean, monumental architecture (500,000 €)

– Design of a cultural tour route in a network of castles and fortifications developed in the Peloponnese, Western Greece, the Ionian Islands and Epirus (500,000 €)

– Planning a cultural tour route in Northern Greece, on the trail of the ancient Egnatia Road (500,000 €)

– Redesign of Quality Infrastructure in Greece: Regulatory, Organizational & Business Transformation of the National Quality System for its adaptation to the challenges of the twin transition: green & digital transition (€ 489,552)

– Works for the protection and promotion of the most important 30, approximately, vaulted tombs, which are preserved in the Prefecture of Messinia (480,000 €)

– Restoration of the Orta Mosque in Veria (450,000 €)

– Thessaloniki: Preservation of Palaeological Murals (UNESCO Monuments) of Agia Aikaterini, Agios Nikolaos Orfanos, Profitis Ilias (450,000 €).
