Private space company Rocket Lab has scheduled the mission Another One Leaves The Crust for today, January 16. The Electron space rocket will send into orbit an apparatus for the OHB Group corporation, which is known primarily as a manufacturer of satellites of the European analogue of GPS Galileo.
The 18th Rocket Lab mission (the first of nine planned for this year) is due to start at 09:41 Kyiv time from the site on the Mahya Peninsula in New Zealand.
The start window is only four minutes long.
Only one communication microsatellite is launched: with its help, the company will check certain frequencies for use in future services from orbit. It will be placed in polar orbit. Nothing more is known about the device.
