The states of Rio de Janeiro and Rio Grande do Sul have the most expensive regular gasoline in the country, with a maximum value of R$7.99 in some cities. The numbers were released in the weekly bulletin of the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), which consults prices at gas stations across the country.
The average value of fuel in Brazil is R$ 6.75, an increase of 0.64% compared to the previous week.
Among the capitals, the city of Rio de Janeiro has the highest maximum price for gasoline, reaching R$ 7.79. In the regional comparison, the Midwest has the highest average price, with the value of R$ 7.00, but the South and Southeast regions have the highest maximum price, with R$ 7.99.
Additivated gasoline was the only fuel that had an increase in the maximum price compared to the previous week. The highest cost of fuel increased from R$8.39 to R$8.49.
The average price of LPG, or cooking gas, of 13 kg was R$ 102.52, an increase of 0.04% compared to the previous week. The maximum value found is R$ 140, as in the municipality of Sorriso, Mato Grosso.
CNG rose for the third consecutive week and recorded an average price of R$4.27. Additivated gasoline had the fourth consecutive high and recorded an average value of R$ 6.90.
Diesel, used mainly to fuel buses and trucks, also increased for the fourth consecutive week and recorded an average price of R$5.356. Ethanol rose for the fourth time and registered R$ 5.394.
